Classes run on an ongoing basis from Sept to mid-June, with monthly payments due on the first of each month. Groups are kept small to assure individual attention. Class fees are averaged out over the number of weeks in the school schedule between Sept 6-June 19 to allow for the same monthly fee. A $5.00 late fee will be charged for classes not paid by the 10th of the month. Registrations will be confirmed when the first month’s non-refundable payment has been received. Emails, texts, hallway chats, etc are NO guarantee of a spot. Registrations are first come, first served basis as well as if you are on a Waiting List for a filled class. Should a student need to drop the class, a 2-week notice is required and those classes are not refunded if they are missed. They are welcome to return later in the year should a spot still be available. 

STUDIO CLOSINGS:  We follow the NH school vacation* & holiday schedule and inclement weather classes will be on ZOOM. Zoom is not an option for classes meeting in person. (We can’t do both at the same time). Teacher workshop days, however, do not affect our classes. *Should your school observe a different vacation week, we will make every attempt to schedule a time your student can make up that missed class.

LATE PICKING UP CHARGE: Unless pre-arrangements have been made, there will be a $10 late fee for 10 min late and $5 for each additional 5 min you are late. (i.e. fifteen minutes late= $15 fee). With only one instructor who may have another class following yours and possibly off-site, this has become an issue.

AGES: Janet currently works with ages 4- 89!  Sam teaches at the Barrington Elementary School! Age recommendations are just a starting point as many students have been attending classes with Janet for years; please feel free to email for her guidance on the best fit for your continuing student. 

OTHER INFORMATION: Please text or email if your student will be absent that day. Classes need 4 enrolled to run; most fill quickly.  Waiting lists are first come, first serve.  Smocks or “art” clothes recommended as we do get messy sometimes! 

SICKNESS or COVID SYMPTOMS:  We stress to please not send your child if they are showing signs of illness.  THE ART ROOM reserves the right to take a touch-free temp or refuse to admit anyone appearing ill.  We appreciate everyone doing their part in the protection of all so that the studio can remain open for in-person lessons! Thank you so much for your understanding and cooperation.

WEEKLY CLASSES:

Each class meets once a week; some are offered on different days to accommodate as many students’ busy schedules as we can! Attend only the day in which you are registered unless pre-arrangements have been made with the instructor.

ART DISCOVERIES: recommended for ages 4-6. A fun class exploring color mixing, shapes and lines through drawing, painting and creative crafts! $60/month  THURSDAYS 4:00-4:45 w/Janet 

YOUNG ARTIST 1: recommended for ages 7-10. Using a variety of art mediums, including charcoal, paint, illustration tools, fun creativity games and more, students will practice new techniques to build art skills and enhance self-expression. $70/month MONDAYS 4:00-5:00 or Wednesdays 4:00-5:00, both w/Janet

YOUNG ARTIST 2: recommended for ages 9-12. For more advanced students, we will use a variety of art mediums to learn new techniques, and creativity exercises to improve drawing and painting skills as we grow as an artist. $70/month TUESDAYS 4:00-5:00 w/Janet or FRIDAYS 5:00-6:00 w/Sam

TWEEN & TEEN ARTISTS: recommended for ages 11-15. Students will work in watercolor, acrylic, pastels and more on a variety of projects as they build their knowledge and skills. $70/month MONDAYS 5:00-6:00  and  just added : WEDNESDAYS 5:00-6:00, both with Janet

ADVANCED TEEN CLASS: recommended for ages 15-18. Prior approval necessary. This is a more independent study for advanced art students and students building their art portfolio. $105/month TUESDAYS 6:00-7:30pm w/Janet

PRIVATE and SEMI-PRIVATE CLASSES with siblings, friends, parents, grandparents, etc :  in-person or on ZOOM w/Janet.  Private is $55hr in the studio, $45 on zoom; semi-private is $35pp for 2 students ($30 zoom);$30pp for 3 or more ($25 zoom). VERY LIMITED openings available~ please email for options, including weekly, bi-weekly or monthly.

We also do BIRTHDAY and PAINT or DRAWING PARTIES!  For small groups on Friday evenings or weekend days! Prices start at $220 for up to 7 painters plus the birthday child for 1.5 hours. $30 for each additional guest for a maximum of 12 guests.  Please email Janet for more information.~ w/ Janet or Sam
